New Hobbit Banner Reveals Clues to Movie Adaptation

This scrollable banner advertisement from The Hobbit has been bouncing around the Internet over the past 24 hours. Its very size (above is just a portion of it), and the fact on the original image you can move a magnifier across it to enlarge details, guarantees that Tolkien and Peter Jackson fans will be examining it for clues like some Middle-earth Bayeux Tapestry. How did Peter Jackson and company adapt Tolkien's beloved book? Assuming the image reflects the actual movie and isn't just publicity hokum dreamed up by someone in marketing, the image provides some answers.
