The prices for a Covid PCR Test varied so much that it was hard to believe they were for the same test, some were daylight robbery
We are in the process of moving back to the UK from Spain. As we have been living between Spain and the UK for almost 2 years, we are used to being made to jump through administrative loops due to Covid 19 by the respective Governments. The latest one being the elusive Covid PCR Test to return to Spain.
It started with QR Codes to enter Spain first. The UK retaliated with Passenger Locator Forms. Both were a pain, but they were a necessary evil as Covid was spreading faster than a vicious rumour.
As we were travelling so much, we were heavily hit as a family by Flight Cancellations, especially by flights being cancelled at the last minute, after we had booked our dogs in the kennels, hotels, Airport Car Parking and other essentials.
All of these were fairly easy to sort out, and the majority of companies were understanding. Ryanair were incredibly difficult to contact or get a refund from, but credit where credit is due, Ryanair kept flying and allowed us to see each other as a family through these difficult times. Jet2, Easyjet, Loganair and Flybe seemed happy just to forget about the customer’s needs altogether.
We were on our final trip to the UK before our big move back, trying to sort out the New House, Doctors, Dentists and Jobs when the news of the need for a Covid PCR Test hit us. We were short of time and there was very little time to try to get them sorted as out return flights to Spain were booked, as were our international removals, we had to get the tests done and get back to pack up our stuff.
