If you are a hiking lover, you must have experienced this at one time or another, especially if you live in the UK as we do. You are out in the hills on a perfect hike enjoying the spectacular views, suddenly and unexpectedly, the dark clouds start rolling in and you think that it’s the end of your adventure. It looks like your hike is going to get abandoned due to Rain.

Most people would cut and run for their car at the sight of a few dark clouds, because, as we all know, wet clothes can conduct the heat away from your body and make us feel a lot colder than when we were dry.

But why not be prepared for Hiking in the rain? Staying dry on the trail or on a campsite is the key to keeping ourselves warm when the weather turns out a bit wetter than we expected. Firstly, Let’s Clear this up. Is the Correct Spelling Jewellery or Jewelry?

That’s an easy one to answer. If you are from the UK as I am, it’s Jewellery. However, some other countries that also speak English as their first language, such as our friends in the USA prefer to use the spelling Jewelry. It’s all the same to me, as both spellings mean exactly the same thing. As I am English and from the UK, I will use the spelling that I’m most familiar with.

Is there Specialist Jewellery for Hikers?

We are talking about decorative jewellery here, not things such as Watches, as there are loads of specialist hiking watches with an equally large number of features such as Pace Counting, GPS, Route Recording, Heart Rate Monitoring, Calorie Counting and many more. I’ll research and write a post on those in the future, as it is a vast subject of it’s own.

So on to the Specialist Jewellery for Hikers – It appears that there is definitely a Niche Market for this, and a lucrative one too looking at some of the prices!
