No Cooker? No Problem, Take No Cook Camping Foods

No Cooker? No Problem, Take No Cook Camping Foods

These lists of No Cook Camping Foods literally have my mouth watering. Looking at them I could easily spend a weekend Camping Trip without a Cooker

No Cook Camping Meal Suggestions for Hikers Travelling Light

Lightweight Camping has actually become a thing. I remember about 10 years ago friends of mine having tiny lightweight sleeping bags made from modern microfibre materials in stuff sacks. Sine then, it seems to be the case that almost every piece of Camping equipment has been Miniaturised and made Lighter.

The Cooker and their respective meals are no different. In fact there has been a growing trend in “No Cook Camping Meals”. I have always snacked during hikes on high energy foods instead of having lunch stops, but I have to admit, I have never considered Camping without a Cooker.

As always, I did a bit of research and here’s what I came up with:

I decided to plan all of the meals for my usual Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon Hiking Camping trip as if it was to be done without a Cooker.

Straight away I came up against a predicament. Was I going to take totally uncooked food, or could it be cooked pre-trip and eaten cold? It’s something I hadn’t considered, so I looked into both.

No Cook Camping Meals

My required meals would be:

  • Friday – Lunch/Trail Snacks, Evening Meal and a Desert, Drinks
  • Saturday – Breakfast, Lunch/Trail Snacks, Evening Meal and a Desert, Drinks
  • Sunday – Breakfast, Lunch/Trail Snacks, Drinks

So here are my personal lists. Chose one or two things from each meal category for each meal, depending on how much you are used to eating.

Top Tip – Hiking and Camping leave you feeling hungrier than usual so make sure you bring enough food, you don’t want to run out.
